PA Quiz 2016

As usual, I was kinda busy during last week as I stayed back for almost everyday.

Last Tuesday until Friday, there were post-mortem, meeting and test run, but everything goes to an end tomorrow..

Yup! tomorrow is the AGM for Sixth Form Society, PA Society and The Waves.

Somehow there's a big change for the cocurriculum system, erm that's a long story, will be explained next post.

Back to main theme. Lately, Pa Society's annually largest event, Pertandingan Kuiz Pengajian Am Antara Sekolah 2016 had ended last Saturday.

Overall, it cannot be considered as a huge success, becuz' we realized there're problems before and during the competition. 

Well, those problems are not very serious enough, just we threw in plan B plan C to make it works lol.

Somehow, we managed to control the time well, which we could proud of.

Scheduled ending time in my planning was 1pm, and we ended it well at 12.50pm, quite a relief though.

Luckily I spared 55 minutes in the planning to make sure there are no late conditions occur and no extension should be happened.

Luckily is that our teamwork is quite strong, and everything goes on as we hope for.

One thing is that not even one CLHS team proceeded into final round lol =.= A little disappointed yet I already expected that this would happened...

Same as last year, there are participants from other schools like Heng Ee, MBS, Jit Sin, Chung Ling Butterworth, Air Tawar and Dato Oon. 

At the end, Heng Ee won the competition.

The format same as last year, only the four teams who got highest marks in the first round (40 objective ques) will be proceeded to the final round.

As a programmer, I had already cut down into three sections in final round rather than five sections from last year, and more questions are introduced.

Lower Six also get participated into the quiz too, instead of giving them to listen to a talk, they involved in general knowledge quiz, as suggestion by all PA society committees.

Haha the general knowledge quiz's questions are came out from each of committee so basically the answers can be found on Internet lol.

Overall, the event still can be considered ran smoothly, no argument happened and now I'm not sure how is the feedback.

But one thing confirmed is that there not much ppl (CLHS Upper Six) attended this event.

Well, I also expected that too, which is uncontrollable, as Flag Day, ISC Meeting and AGMs crashed at the same time.

Moreover, now is still the month of Ramadhan, so we realized this problem and we prepared vouchers for the Muslim students instead of food and drink.

Damn... these problems really made us so tired lol.

Projector is also another problem, but still solved just one day before the event.

Too bad there are too much problems, but if we could managed this event and made it as success as possible, we proved that we are strong (Yay thug life lol~~)

So now I'm waiting for the pictures posted on Facebook, once the pictures are uploaded, I will post here, in my blog, in the next post. Stay tuned ;)

Tomorrow is the AGM and it's going to be the end of my committee's life in PA Society!!!

Quite a lot of feelings though, couldn't imagine that I could learn so much in just a year.

It's time to pass down to Lower Six, hope our next team could be as good as us lol.

Sem 3

Damn! I should had posted this like 4 days ago, yet I was either too tired or too lazy and my blog just blanked again for more than a week.

Heritage Hunt 2016 was done last Saturday and since I didn't take any picture, so probably I would skipped it. Since I had already posted about this last year, so I wouldn't repeat that anymore.

Ya, I admit that I wasn't too care much about this event since I was not arranged on high post, plus next Saturday it would be PA Quiz already, so obviously my focus was shifted.

Hmm... How should I express?

Time flies? Probably, now I'm starting Semester 3, the final semester of my STPM life. 

Considering all factors, I could feel that everyone are quite focus on study even since Sem 2 as we cannot repeat paper for Sem 3!

Which means, this is everyone's the only one-way ticket. So, as my planning, after any big event participated especially ISC 2016 and Food Fair (Yupe there's another one around August), and also all assignments are done, the whole full time are mainly for studying.

Fortunately, after PA Quiz, my life as a committee in PA Society or any event is over.

So, the societies are going to pass down to lower six, really hope that they could maintain the strong organisation as us. Ya I'm not actually bragging, but I really felt that the committees 15/16 can be considered as peaceful as possible lol. 

In lots of meetings we are not too serious but still can done things well in events, but most importantly is that we don't have infighting (内讧).

Right now, I'm looking forward for the two events, which are PA Quiz and ISC 2016. 

Anyway, the results are not yet out so don't ask yet until August reaches, probably.

Inti Summer Camp 2016

Hi guys!
Yup it’s June and it’s near to monsoon season, so recently there’re thunderstorms here.
Well, the thing is that I haven’t update my blog lol, probably too lazy or too much events packed in this holiday.
Yea, counted and found that half of the holidays already gone, out of 8 days, 7 days are mainly at outside.
But anyway, quite relieved that I’m back to blog about the learning trip at Inti International University at Nilai. Well, officially it should be Inti Summer Camp 2016, just most of us thought that it is a trip.
Not much of photos taken since the programmes are quite packed, and moreover I dunno why I lost my pictures taken T.T
So a few photos are chosen that I think is more necessary de lah haha.
This post is summarised, as this is a 3-day-2-night camp.

On the first day, the bus departed around 7am and after a long 7 hour ride, we reached Inti International University around 1.30pm...
After lunch, then it’s time to divide the groups, of course this camp is not only participated by our school, the other two schools are from Johor, one is 古来宽柔中学 and 麻坡中化中学.
The groups’ name are quite interesting, which I think is follow the 三国时代, where there many 州 and I am in 兖州.
Ya I guaranteed you dunno how to read that 兖, well it pronounced “yàn”.

So the first thing to do is draw flag and 喊口号 haha, as usual lah. Next is the game time! Erhem for this part I couldn’t say much since it’s quite difficult to explain. Overall, it’s like a battleground, where each 州 has it’s 城池, some teammates has to keep the 城池 and some go fight with other 州 like that.
After the game (I already know that our group wouldn’t be the first so I don’t think I’m quite excited to talk about the results lol), it’s shower and dinner time.
But before go for shower, we have to set the tent by ourselves, not on grass but at the stadium, and for first experience it’s not that tough though. During dinner time, I want to say omaigosh is becuz’ the rice is so much like no need money aneh, damn so full.
Then, it is the sharing session, by who already forgotten ==||| But ya the talk is quite interesting, but the contexts I almost forgotten dy.
Day 1 ended around 11.30pm, and yup I was like can’t sleep at all becuz’ it is uncomfortable at all especially the floor is hard and the aircond is sipek cold like a freezer!

Day 2 started with a morning exercise, well everyone is like “Ain’t nobody got time for that”, most of ppl just walk rather a jog lol.
After breakfast and shower, then it’s the time for another sharing session, from the university professor. After the end of sharing session, then it’s time to say goodbye to friends from 古来宽柔中学 and 麻坡中化中学.
Yup they all leaved the camp earlier than us, the reason is still unknown, so the only participants are from CLHS only!!! Yay we 包全场 hahaha!!
So the next activity is a talk about traditional chinese medicine 中医. It’s quite an interesting talk and we got an opportunity to know about different 草药 and taste them and experience 针灸 and 拔罐. That time I only tried 针灸.
Moreover, after the talk, each of us also received a souvenir bag with traditional chinese medicine, 有得体验有得拿, so good haha.

So here's the tents, sleeping place for boys is at the stadium while for girls is at the classroom.

After that the followng two activities are games, the afternoon part is more about physical games, well there’s nothing win or lose, cuz’ you won’t get any prize lol, it’s just to make this camp fun.
After dinner and shower, it’s the night game, and this night game is more towards IQ, but watch out “hunters” that will catch you haha.
Everytime we saw hunters we were like run and hide to avoid getting caught. Well, we were quite sweaty that night, so we went for the third shower that day lol. Ohya there’s also a supper. Guess what? It’s 泡面 lol.
So, that night is also the last night we spent the time with facilitators. And again, we got our goodie bags too.

Day 3, the last day of camp, after showering, packing our bags and packing the tents, we said goodbye to Inti International University Nilai!!!

Around 9am we reached Inti College at Subang, Selangor.
Hmm this place is really jammed as next to it is Taylor University and College.
At the same time, it’s also the open day for Inti, so the surroundings there are quite packed.
After the campus tour, we are supposed to have a light breakfast and attend a talk, but somehow the food is insufficient (since it is in buffet form), so we all Form 6 pakat to go to have our own breakfast at the kopitiam opposite Inti.

And yup, we had successfully made our way out and the people in-charge also noticed the inconvenience, so they allowed us to do that so.
Since we knew that it’s unneccessary to go back, so we just planned to wait at the cafe, and walked through the streets to look for shops.
Probably it’s because there’re colleges around, there’re lots of cafes and shops which are more towards for teenagers as their target.

11.30am, the talk finished, and we are informed to back to Inti to gather at the main floor to wait for our bus.
They also provided lunch for us, fortunately this time the rice is not that much liao haha.
So we departed around 12.30++ pm, and we reached our school around 6.30pm.
And so this is the end of the camp.
I dunno what to say though, but through lots of camps I participated, this made me to be even more as an extrovert.
Somehow, thanks for UBK for giving me this chance to let me recharged after Sem 2.

Digression
After the camp it’s the interview for lower six, so I represented PA Society to interview lower six students for my department, Unit Perancangan and also as a sideviewer for important posts such as secretary and chairman.
Haha it’s quite fun to interview ppl, and this is the first time I interviewed ppl lol.
