Langkawi (Part 1)

Finally of again and again, the feeling of back home is great!

The 4-days-3-nights trip to Pulau Langkawi is tired but fun.

This time is not with friends but with family and relatives.

Since this is my "first" time to visit Langkawi, so not sure it is worthy or not.

But in the end, I could conclude those who say "Langkawi 没有东西看的啦" are totally wrong!!!

Not Langkawi has nothing to see, is they dunno how to find things or activities to see and do.

Mostly the trip to Langkawi spent only about 2 days for someone, but that's actually not enough, moreover we used 4 days also haven't finished visit all interesting places around Langkawi.

BTW we traveled to Langkawi by airplane not by ferry.

Well you know the jetty would be totally packed with ppl during holidays, that maybe make not the best start for your trip.

Luckily our tour guide from an agency so good, helped us to manage the package to this place to that place with affordable price and also for renting a van.

Anyway let's get started, since this trip consists of 4 days, so I think if I put the whole trip to this post would take too much time to complete, so I separated into 2 parts, Part 1 for 13/12 and 14/12 while Part 2 for 15/12 and 16/12.

Additional update:
Since got friends ask me what are the interesting places in Langkawi, so I think I would suggest some traveling tips here:
1) Remember to bring IC, medicines (especially 晕船药很重要), mint sweets and umbrella (December is the raining season).
2) If hire a tour guide is better, or you could try to find the free Langkawi map in jetty or airport.
3) I recommend boat ride for mangrove sightseeing (with other activities along the ride), see what I post in Part 2.
4) Use the route of Northern part of Langkawi to go to the cable car ride (becuz' there's no traffic light at all and faster to reach there).
5) Put on sunblock before going to Pulau Payar (if hot weather).
6) I also recommend Underwater World and Bird Paradise.
7) While shopping, you may want to compare the prices first from various supermarkets and shops, and also check the expired date before buying.

13/12/2014 (Saturday)

Reached the Penang International Airport around 9.15 am, wait for everyone (total of 14 persons) to gather and then check-in.

Wait for the calling and then we hop into a rather bigger airplane, cuz' this time is AirAsia mah.

Well erhem maybe we too late check in so we are actually too close to board on when the boarding gate is going to close, but anyway 能够上到飞机就好了.

Since the distance between Penang and Langkawi are short, not like to Kuantan, it took only about 20 minutes only!

So here is it, we reached Langkawi International Airport.

After we reached the airport around 11.30 am, we met up Erika, our tour guide.

So after some kind of discussions, paid the money and then she showed us the rented van, 

Well the van is quite new and could carried up to 15 ppl.

My uncle would be the driver and the first stop is the Underwater World.

But before we enter it we had a lunch at a restaurant opposite of that.

 We are heading for lunch.

 Lunch-ing :)

So here we come, Underwater World :D

BTW 我在此先声明, I actually took like more than 50 photos while in Underwater World, so there's no way I could post every picture in this blog, by then it would take too much time, so I just chose some interesting photos for you guys, the others I remained for you to explore haha XD

That's all what had I chosen, the rest you go there baru see lah, actually there are still other land animals like birds and mammals.

After visiting Underwater World we straight go to De Baron Resort to check in, by that time was already 3 pm dy.
So here's the room.

The back of the resort is a garden and seafront, where you can enjoy the scenery of the sea and enjoy the breeze like that.
There's also a swimming pool but mostly built for the children, and no beach for you to walk on.

So here's the view from the seafront, with boats and cruisers.

After that back to room, had a shower, changed clothes and ready for dinner!

Reach the restaurant and we had a nice dinner, not really know what was the name dy.
(Finally I found out is called Yong Leong Seafood Restaurant)
So here's the dishes.

After the dinner we visited the Eagle Square.
That's what made Langkawi famous.
BTW this is the first time I visit Langkawi, I think I will visit the eagle during day time but night time is also very nice too.

Well if I got the chance to visit Langkawi again I would see how it looks like during day time.

After this we have a shopping spree around Kuah Town.
Too much duty free shops dy, like Zeno, Coco Valley and more.
BTW One of Malaysian's general knowledge is Langkawi is an island where all the shops are duty free.
So that's why you can found lots of imported chocolates, wines, beers, tobacco, luggage...
Well dun need to say our targets are wines and chocolates lah.
Our resort is also located at Kuah, and there's a pasar malam there, so again we shop more.

So here is it. But this is just part of the pasar malam, there are more things inside, through this street through that street, got a little bit 看到 sien cuz' much of things sold are shirts lah, gamat oil lah keychains lah.

But since this is the first day so we are not planned to buy things yet, juz check the price of which shop cheaper la XD

The first day ended! :D

14/12/2014 (Sunday)

Woke up quite early around 6.30 am.

Today is the day to Pulau Payar Marine Park, where the bus will take us from hotel to the jetty first, then by speedboat o the island.

But first, let's have a breakfast at the hotel.

Still got time mah go to the seafront to enjoy the morning breeze.

Ah such as fresh start for me, I think I wanna live here! XD

 Morning guys! Sunday is a nice day! :D

望海想未来 XD

We actually packed our clothes and towel the last night, we gathered at the lobby to wait for the bus until 9 am.

Then we straight to the jetty, follow the tour guide to the boat, and start the journey!

 Since I sit beside the window, so I can take picture of sea.

开动咯！

I'm not sure how far was Pulau Payar from Langkawi, but through my timeline in my camera it took about 1 hour to reach Pulau Payar.

After I checked the map I realized that it is quite far from Langkawi.

Snipped the map and edited it, for a better view.

Reached there around 11 am, when the speedboat stops I nearly 晕船, luckily the waves are not so high la, plus it is a sunny day, hot like hell how to go snorkeling...

Anyway the water is so clear that you could actually look at the corals, the fishes from above.

How clear is it? Here is the photo.

By then received the life jacket and mask for snorkeling.

Well it was nearly 12 pm, really really hot like hell but nvm since I already put on sunblock so I think is no problem lah.

Faster swim into the water for refreshing, and then look for fishes swim past through our legs like that.

Seriously even you don't need whole body into the water you can see them so clearly.

And beware of small sharks! But it won't hurt you la if you dun kacau them.

After much time snorkeling in the water, walk on white sands, accidentally drank tio very salty seawater, it's lunch time.

Not very luxurious buffet lunch, just fried rice with cucumbers, fries and fried chicken, and also tinned ice lemon tea.

After that didn't continue snorkeling dy, just wait until 2.45 pm to board on the speedboat.

But WTF by that time the weather suddenly changed cloudy and windy.

Experienced high waves during way back to the jetty.

So the journey back to jetty is quite shaky, up and down like that, but my subconscious 潜意识 told me just have to close my eye and feel like I'm sitting on a rocking chair, 很快就过了.

Luckily this time I didn't 晕船, my 潜意识 works haha XD 

And another about 1 hour again, we reached jetty, some ppl really beh tahan and then puke, but got provided with plastic bags lah.

Reached the jetty already 4.15 pm le, back to hotel by bus, took a shower and then rest for a while before going for dinner.

So we reached another restaurant which we ordered the food and we waited for a long time.

And we completed our late dinner around 8 pm.

After the dinner is again for shopping time.

This time we bought chocolates and some wines before back to Penang.

We planned to buy them at the second day cuz' if too late we probably dun have much time to buy anymore.

Spent more than RM100 for those things, and most of them are for relatives and friends lah.

Back to hotel again and ready for my next activity.
Haha we all young guys went to the back garden and sit at the seafront for night chat XD
Just relax, enjoy the wind, drink something (for me is non-alcoholic drinks lah), chat and laugh.
Quite fun lah actually, but for children is a 不良示范 lah lol.
So like that, back to room around 11.30 pm, and ended my 2nd day in Langkawi.

The trip to Langkawi for Part 2 maybe published tomorrow.

Where I Belong

So hey guys! How about your holidays?

Well probably there are 3 main things you would do: Eat, play and sleep.

Anyway, for all Decembers of the past few years, I could feel the spirit of Christmas.

This year is rather different, since this is also the month of freedom! :)

As you could see, besides Christmas, I had went for the worthy AAY trip, which is the best chance for me to complete exciting activities.

Now here's a thing that I never showed up in the blog, or to my friends.

Tomorrow... I will travel to Pulau Langkawi!

Moreover, not through boat, but airplane.

This trip is with my family, but more to relatives lah.

From 13-16 December, I would not in Penang island, but at another island. XD

The tickets are actually booked since September, and I didn't tell anyone since then, except for that Kampar trip.

Well, not much ppl know about I will be going to Langkawi, cuz' I planned to let it be a secret.

But this secret already revealed here, especially for those who will look at this post.

After reaching Langkawi, I wish to post a photo but my phone is sucks, bad resolution and so small screen  for Internet, but I 尽量 post la.

17 years ago, I'm still sleeping in my mom's stomach, where my mom traveled to the same island with my future family.

Well, I went to Langkawi before but I'm not really visited that place.

17 years later, I'm back to where I want to see.

The ocean, the mountain, the eagle...

Not sure it really so called prenatal education (胎教) or not, maybe that trip to Langkawi 17 years ago brought up me to become a person who likes traveling.

Alright it's the second time I will take on the plane again.

Could you believe it? This year has too much events happened for me.

3 trips in a year, rarely happened, but all are not planned by ourselves, so life goals haven't fully achieved yet. :P

Anyway, I'm going to Langkawi tomorrow!

So, I should sleep well tonight, restore energy, and fly again! :D

10th December

Now I surrender to my laziness.
Truly, I'm really really sorry to myself since the flashbacks couldn't get done this week again.
Like many people said, time flies, but your memories won't wipe up unless you try to let it go.
But for that 5SA2 farewell party and graduation ceremony?
Yup I won't forget that forever, since I knew it should be memorable in deep heart.

Besides that, I now decided not to post it out here cuz' I can't actually fully write all details since it's already almost 2 months ago.
Don't say I forgot about it, but sometimes you should know that there're a lot of things even though you don't need to say, you still remember about that forever.
So, how about let all those sweet memories keep deep in our heart?
Let them be engraved in our heart, make them as our healing medicine.

From the photos you could see got ppl buy foods, prepare foods, prepare BBQ, singing, steamboay (for teachers), group photos, selfies.
Same as other classes one, but for our class we win as we can considered our class's farewell party is the biggest, craziest, funniest and the longest in duration.

CLHS Graduation Ceremony 2014
Those photos are all by me, of cuz' with a lot of friends, but some are repeated.
I brought my camera, so some of them need other ppl help, some are them are actually selfies.
Haha you recognize yourself lah, which photos are selfies XP
But one thing maybe considered 遗憾 is I had not much time to take pictures with our lovely teachers, I did, but only 1 teacher...
When I saw others wan really really envy.
Haizz... Anyway still got chance de lah, till the day when we get our SPM results I sure will take photos de, by that time it would be more meaningful.
How about the feelings? Well I think it is totally 五味杂陈, and really really 舍不得离开, like I never had before, this school gave me too much memories.
BTW this year don't have 三校毕业典礼, so this is the first year for CLHS to have its own official graduation ceremony.
Anyway after the ceremony our principal said that our performances are really good.
Well, 97s had done a good start! :D

So, there're too much memories too be unforgettable.
Throw all nasty things, keep the sweet memories in your heart.
Don't say you don't know how to do it.
With all the sweet memories, I think I will live happier! =)

Kampar

Probably I deserved it, but this Kampar trip is really really tired...

However I could conclude that this trip is worthy! :)

Since yesterday I back home late at night, so I post it out here today.

Now I'm gonna summarize the 3-day-Kampar-trip in this post, it would be a very very long post.

05/12/2014 (Friday)

*There are lots of 'we' in this post, some are for whole ppl and some are for my gang. So for easier way I highlighted 'we'  for my gang.

Alright reached AAY tuition centre before 7.30 am, just a normal morning, where the street is going to hustle and bustle.

Total of 17 persons including 2 teachers.

After all persons gathered, we hop into the bus and start our journey. :D

So, along the way to Sungkai Hot Springs I dun want to talk anymore la, juz chatting, eating, stop at some stands to rest like tat.

After that around 12 pm like that we reached Sungkai Hot Springs.

Well officially it should be Sungai Klah Hot Springs since the place is deep inside Sungai Klah's Felda Residence. 

After paying the tickets, then we walked to the hot springs.

There are a lot of hot springs all over the theme park, each with their own specific temperatures, got 20-25°C, got 30-35°C, got 40-45°C.

You could choose to dip ur leg or ur whole body inside.

Well I remembered that my gang (Me, Chin Hong, Zheng Xuan, Zheng Er and Allan Ooi) chose to dip this 40-45°C hot spring, but I juz can't beh tahan that hotness.

My legs just touch for a second I immediately pull them out, REALLY PAIN LIKE HELL!!! T.T

Haizz just can't imagine how could them do it for a long time...

So I rather chose another pool which is rather comfortable for me, which is 30-35°C wan. 

Fortunately this pool is nice and I still can stay for a long time.

Hey that's me! :>

But before that, we had an egg-boiling section.

Yup! Boil the egg in 100°C hot springs water, full with natural minerals.

This would be really really good.

The results here!

I didn't snap how was the hard boiled eggs looks like but through my describing, the egg yolks are really different, yellowish-orange like that, very special, and quite nice to eat.

There's also a swimming park like Sunway Lagoon, but the water are cold and we dun wan to wet our clothes so just walk on the water only. 

After a while we just sit down and talk like that, 也顺便讲讲鬼故事, haha!

LOL but anyway I think this is the way to relax after SPM.

And then we bought this coconut milkshake there, with ice cream :)

Around 3 pm, we left the Hot Springs area and straight away to Lata Kinjang Waterfall.

BTW we stopped for a while to have lunch, most of us have KFC, but not the whole meal like that.

We reached Lata Kinjang Waterfall and there's no need to pay the tickets.

After that we walked to the waterfall for a nearer view, the best one is on the half-way-rock.

But WTH is you have to climb the stairs again, but I wish there's an escalator too... (jk nia lah)

 There's a suspension bridge and we are going there.

Right and again we still have to climb the stairs to that suspension bridge.

The stairs are not steep actually but so high, it might be use much energy to climb lah.

 Yeah finally we reached the suspension bridge.

 So beautiful! ❤

Anyway the suspension bridge is shaky when you step on it, but still it is safe to walk.

Then we got back down to ather together to take a group photo.

But that photo haven't sent yet so I can't put on it here.

Anyway here's a photo which I took a picture with the waterfall.

Then we all got back down to the land and straight to Grand Kampar Hotel!

Yup finally we will have a rest at the hotel.

But sry there's no picture about the photo, I forgot to take. :(

But maybe you can Google it lah XD

So by that time my gang had shower, play some card games, chat like that only.

Around 8 pm we baru go out the hotel to eat dinner, by that time it is a rainy night.

And I should let you take note that all meals are pay by ourselves except 1-day-breakfast at the hotel.

So this day we all seriously go through the shops around but we didn't find the Japanese shop which sell 饭团.

So here's the hilarious part, we had our dinner at "Vegan Life", a vegetarian restaurant.

Seriously dunno why we choose this restaurant but we have no other choice le.

After ordering, wait for the food, taste it, and then......

OMG so nice, so tasty!

I ordered a mint spaghetti and a glass of ice lemon tea.

Wow can't believe it, but still it really really nice too.

After dinner we straight go back to the hotel.

Not really sure this is fate or what, that day also got wedding dinner and some kind of ceramah.

That time was really funny, we are actually going inside that ceramah room, but suddenly I think back and I immediately stop for a while before entering.

I dunno why I dun wan to go in, I just DAMN IT dun wan to go in, so Allan, Chin Hong and Zheng Er went inside, leaving me and Zheng Xuan outside, that's evil XP

So we two wait them outside, there's a woman, probably the staff keep persuading us to enter to hear the ceramah, say what very important to you la and all kind of that stuffs la.

I just hear la, nod head la, answer her questions la, but she just failed to persuade me going inside haha XD 

Okay then we wait for the other 3 at the lobby until 9 pm.

Then we all went up to met at the girls' room for a meeting at 9.30 pm.

Most of the details are about the trip to Gua Tempurung next day.

After meeting we talked more other things about breakfast, crazy topics there before back to room.

Me, Chin Hong, Zheng Xuan and Zheng Er sleep in one room and Allan at another room with other ppl, but Allan most of the time come to our room to play and chat like tat.

That wan I lazy to say liao, skip to tomorrow!

06/12/2014 (Saturday)

Woke up quite early this morning since we have to gather at the lobby around 8 am dy.

Since that night had a rain so the scenery would be very foggy.

So it really what I expected.

I think I could really seldom enjoy scenery like this.

So we had showers, changed our clothes, packed clothes and foods for Gua Tempurung and then went down to have the hotel's breakfast.

It was really nice then, got Western and local mixed together, but no pics la.

After that we went back up to the room to pack more things, but we wait for someone until we late to gather, but we still manage not to be too late la.

Reached Gua Tempurung, what I felt is that it was so majestic.

But I think this is the only chance to let me get nearer to the nature.

The trip is really really worthy for me, rather than going to KL or other cities like that.

After we packed our foods tightly (cuz' we will went through water), we went to the waiting area.

Our trip will be the hardest package, known as Grand Tour, very very 刺激!!!

So after much more persons gather together, wait for the tour guide, we start our adventure!!!

This adventure took a very very long to time describe, since we are not allowed to bring handphones and camera.

The first part there are pathways with lights and the tour guide will show us this rock looks like what that rock look like what. First part, it is enjoyable.

The second part is to climb up the stairs, walk more deeper into the cave, and by that time you could feel that the cave is REALLY REALLY HIGH LIKE HELL!! Beh tahan nia gonna grab the armrest very tight and very careful on the steps. Second part, it is very high.

The third part, no pathway anymore, no lights, you just gonna step on the rocks and follow the tracks.

And then it's the time to CROSS OVER THE WATER! But only feet, not yet whole body.

The water very cold, and stuck with a lot of sands.

Third part, it is exciting.

After that we stopped for a while (of cuz at another entrance with sufficient light), we had our lunch (juz bread and water only) on the river. Well, juz like a nomad like tat la haha :D

Continue to the fourth part, using another way back to the main entrance, which I think it challenge my limits.

So again cross the river, climb up lots of you-think-it-is-impossible-to-climb-rocks, slide down muddy tracks like tat. Haizz my hands and my legs scratched by the sand so pain XP

Dunno why that tour guide just like a ninja, we took about like 10 minutes to climb down the rocks but the tour guide just took about 1 minute only.

Conclude the fourth part, it is dangerous.

The fifth part, which is coming to the end, we have to follow the flow of river to the main entrance.

And this time, we have to crawl through the water underneath lots of rocks.

Yup! WHOLE BODY IN THE WATER! I just can't believe it I done that......

Anyway the tracks was so slippery, very dangerous so I have not much time to enjoy the surroundings of the cave like tat.

How to say? Those stalactite and stalagmite just above your head, you have no chance to stand upright, just crawl and crawl slowly through the water. Fifth part, it is VERY VERY CRAZY!!! 简直要生要死!!!

Okay finally we are closer to the main entrance, by that time there has a spotlight, and we rest inside there and play and splash the water for a while.

Then we leave the cave via river, not via the gate. Take our clothes and towels, wait for a very long queue and then shower.

Dunno how to say the showering part wasn't enjoyable, so juz simply wash with some shampoos only, plan to back to hotel to bath more :P

After everyone gather at the bus, we haven't straight to the hotel but we went to the lake park beside UTAR Kampar.

This park is really nice like Penang Youth Park, also got playgrounds like that.

After we back to hotel, we wait for the time comes and went up to the top floor.

Do what? Of course using the hotel's facilities la, got swimming pool and table tennis court.

Although I got brought swimming pants but I was too tired I rather play ping pong better.

So, 你玩你的，我玩我的，some ppl just sit there and watch nia.

Also took some photos too but I didn't bring up.

Oh and again we are about to leave the place and then suddenly it rains again.

Very common la, this month is a rainy season lai.

Back to our room and take more thoroughly shower.

Then we planned to go to that Japanese restaurant we mentioned, manatau we saw teachers and other girls having their dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, look through the menu and found that got offer set, then we decided to go to that Japanese restaurant later.

So, we sit down, order a set dinner with 4 dishes and 1 soup, 刚刚好 pun la.

Haha but got 1 dish very special is this:

This dish is known as 火龙果鱼片, quite pinkish rite!? XD

But very special wor, not bad too.

After we had our dinner we straight went out to the Japanese restaurant, by that time it still rains.

So we walked further finally we reached there.

We just chose to takeaway some 饭团 like that, make it as supper.

Then we went back to our room then do the same thing la.

Then around 10.30 pm we again gather at the girls' room for briefing for the white water rafting next day.

After that we play "The Killer" games, that wan pick cards then recognize who are killer and who are polices like that. Quite fun and then we played till 不知不觉 until 12.15 am.

Back to our own room and continue to play again, 也顺便 enjoy that 饭团, still nice pun :)

Beh tahan nia Chin Hong sleep first, then I sleep around 2 am, Zheng Er, Zheng Xuan and Allan sleep around 3 am.

过后就一觉到天亮。。。

07/12/2012 (Sunday)

*No photos took this day.

Wake up quite late around 9.30 am, cuz' the white water rafting is in the afternoon.

So after shower, went down to have breakfast.

Something really crazy is that I dun 骗吃骗喝, cuz' the hotel's breakfast is only for 1 day, details won't say anymore la I juz dun wan to do something like tat, so I took the key card from that, back to room and eat something I brought better.

After I went back down again to find them, then we went back up to the room to pack all things.

Still got time mah play some card games again.

Around 11.45 am, we gather at the lobby and wait for the others to check out the hotel at 12 pm.

Then we first went to Tesco to buy walk and buy some things like that,

I hungry like hell since I ate not much for my breakfast so I had a chicken spaghetti.

Around 1.20 pm, we went back to the bus and straight to the white water rafting area.

Well since the road is too narrow for the bus to go in, so you think which vehicles is more suitable to fetch so much ppl?

Yes! IT IS THE LORRY!

OMG it is the first time travel into the jungle through lorry, can't believe it this is my another chance to experience more.

So we reached that place, had some briefings, wear the jackets and safety helmets, take the paddle and the rubber boat near to the river.

Somehow the river water is not that deep so I think it is not a problem for me to swim lah.

So we separated into 3 groups, with 6 ppl per boat and 1 guide.

Wow the water current is rapid and got stones which create high splashes and waves.

That time is really is really crazy like hell, we follow the guide to paddle forward, backward, stop like that.

And when we flow through high splashes I scream like hell. Haha finally I got the opportunity to scream loudly like never before.

Somehow other group de ppl fall outafter a lot of big splash, and there's a time we stuck at the middle of the rocks, with water gushing on our body. Fortunately we made it to move after a while.

Halfway rest, and again... RAIN!!!!!!

This time would be more crazy, MORE RAIN MORE EXCITING!!!

Wah can't believe that the first time rafting we experience the rain.

After rest still the same experience, but not so much splashes liao la. 

谢天谢地 we reached the end point safely around 5.30 pm, by that time it still rain heavily, very cold......

So we then walk to a tent to have our early dinner prepared by the agency, which also included into the package.

This time the shower room is much more comfortable so I shower nicely then.

What surprised me is after we completed this activity, we all received a certificate!

Really feel like I survived haha XD

So after packing all the bags, we again back to the main road using another more kampung road.

Yup and again using lorry XP

But anyway it's still enjoyable la, through the way back you can still enjoy the kampung scenery like tat, since we stay at the city for a long time dy, 何不如去尝试不一样的体验呢？:)

Reach to the bus-parking point and then we balik kampung, back to Penang!!!

Well we got stop for a while midway la.

And everyone were so tired and need to take nap before reaching Penang.

So around 9.45 pm, we back to Penang.

This AAY Trip end.

Of cuz' it's worthy! I rather enjoy this nature-touching trip rather than going to visit some cities like that.

Anyway this trip is really summarized so if there's something I missed I'm sorry for those who wants to know more about it.
