Talents

#510
1st May

Considering the fact that I may had abandoned my blog, well, partially, I did.
The progress of updating the blog just decelerated to a rate of one post for each two weeks.
Somehow, I just can't deny that truly, I don't have much post to update for.
The routine just goes on from work, play PC and sleep, besides Saturdays and Sundays.
If one could make changes, possibly I have to pick a moment from the inconstant time.

Given I have much more time before entering university, I might not have much changes on me.
Might be laziness I think, but just temporarily, of course, not too long that could make me indulge in the world of relax mode.
Basically, I watch videos on Youtube channel everyday, mostly seeing Youtubers playing games and learn how they speak in front of cameras.
Yup indeed, nobody born as a talent in speaking, training from time to time is the key to achieve excellence.
Despite I admit that myself is not a proficient English user, yet if I am able to speak in a proper way, then it would be a great improvement for me in communication.
Also thanks to this blog, I'd been writing this blog for more than 6 years, needless to say I am now much more comfortable to speak in English, able to listen to texts without subtitles and most importantly, improved my confidence.
But, speaking in Chinese is still my priority, and that is the only language that I known the best (even though there are still some bombastic words to pronounce and understand).

As you all know, I don't have any real talent in my entire life.
It's obvious for people who knows dancing, singing, drawing, playing musical instruments or any physical activity, the talent is observable by anyone.
Somehow, mental talent is not very obvious, because it is more towards textual presentations or speeches and might be dull for people.
What could be different from this mental talent is that these people are very sensitive to the values that can be obtained from every incident, and made them as a resource for future reflections.
By texting, like writing blog, I am pleased to have a logical and quick thinking when writing short summary from a long passage.
Then, the way to present the texts are all depend on how you use several rhetorics to make your texts more interesting when reading through.
Like all authors, they are creative in creating stories and make the plots attractive as well, but most people would rather think that this person is creative and smart only, instead of talented.
If I am able to write this blog for a very long time, that doesn't mean that I'm creative in creating texts, but rather I would say that I'm actually talented in presenting my mind, and I'm still on the way to make everyone understandable on what am I going to talk about.
(p/s: Is that mean a toastmaster?)

Everyone has their own talent, just that discovering them is like a troublesome hiking to the peak of Mount Everest.
Although you may found nothing from the start to the end, but what you had learnt, is that how you face everything that happened along the way, and able to overcome circumstances and consequences.
Right, something keeping your talents is a way so that you could unleash them in the right time.
So, it still depend on yourself, show it, or keep it until the right time, but don't keep it forever.

Eternal Discovery

#509
16th April
(Source: "23 Street Photography Tips For Your Next Photo Walk" by Kenn Tam, www.fstoppers.com)

Hey I had been lost, again, for another 2 weeks lol.
First of all, good news! Tomorrow I will attend Majlis Anugerah Pelajar Cemerlang STPM 2016 Peringkat Pulau Pinang.
Sounds familiar right? Well that have to date back to around June 2015.
By that time, it was an honour for me to be an excellent candidates for SPM 2014. Same as this time, I strove for the best again and being honoured for the second time!
Hmm... Quite curious about how much would I get.

As half of April just gone, realizing that time is going too fast.
A week of works could be done in just a blnk of an eye.
I can't deny that when starting a new week, I always hope that Friday would come faster.
As always, it always did, as long as you get your required works done. And then the same thing repeat, again and again, until where the prelude of the new chapter begins...
By that time, I had went through most of time in discovering myself again and learnt more and more skills for development.

Sometimes, I won't get used to apply my knowledge in making decisions, especially the long term issues, that made a lot of doubts for me.
Precisely, I'm quite confirmed that I'm interested in studying electric and electronic engineering, but regulations forced me to think of another path.
I couldn't discover a lot in a short time. One year? Two years? Might not be enough. I might just as different as the others, they really know what are they doing and how to do, but I think I am still looking opportunities, or the right moment to do.
The gap period is where everything may change, or even a mighty twist for moments. Talking about that, degeneration of the mightiest is where the unexpected sore.
The curse happened on me, but I never want to be the mightiest, aren't I?

If I could be as normal as I can, I would rather keep continuing discover the truest me, even though I found myself back in Form 6, but there's no ending yet.
By the way, I'm still keeping the pace, I know what are the advantages I have, and I know no matter who wants to take over, that's their moment but not mine, who wouldn't know anything would change after some times?
Back to normal is not really as easy as I thought, but the discovery is continuing. I have my own thoughts, but following the conscience, restoring the thoughts is the key.
The discovery would be an eternal journey, I never want to fall down again, and hope that a simple, normal life would be right in time.

Choices

#508
2nd April
(Source: "You Are at The Steering Wheel of Your Life. So Make The Right Choices" by Adam Payne, www.whoisadampayne.com)

Quite a relief that 1st April, or you meant April Fool wasn't my day at all, probably it's Saturday and that's why I made it through "peacefully".
Speaking of which, I had worked as a daycare/tuition teacher for three months, considered one-third before the completion.
Counting the period of service, I had worked there for 4 months and 3 weeks two years ago, and now, if I worked for 7 months and a week, that makes one year.

Honestly, when coming down to different choices, you might not able to take a quick decisions on how them. And not long ago, I faced it unexpectedly.
Yup applying for the local universities through UPU system is quite challenging especially the part of the selection of courses and universities.
As I wished to study courses related to electric and electronic, so needless to say that it is my first choice, and the first university I chose for is Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Johor.
You might ask: Comparing other well-known universities like UM, USM, UPM and UKM, why UTM?
Judging from the distance factor, I would actually choose USM as my first choice since it is the nearest university from my hometown, Penang.
However, my teacher introduced us (all Form Six students) about how advanced is UTM now and it can compare with USM and UM.
Basically, I read through their official websites and unexpectedly shocked by the status of UTM now, they made the website much like in an international way, and the quality was not that bad too.
Refer to their rankings and achievements, even it is still behind UM, nonetheless, as I said, everything is still improving, so in future the data might change, maybe.
Anyway, I made USM as my second choice university and only the sixth choice goes to UM.
The reason why I didn't make UM as first choice is because they don't have electronic courses, and another thing is despite it is well-known, I'm still prefer a younger university loll, what a weird thought.
Well, about 3 days more the system will be closed, I had made my choices and checked properly, hope can get first choice as I wanted.

Alright, as you all know, going into April might be a bit messed up. I don't know why, whenever comse to April, I felt uncomfortable.
My own fact, the reason why I felt in this way is probably there's NO HOLIDAY at all...
Well even though after entering university, November and December are no longer holiday months for me, but April is the only month that made me felt like "Haizz..."
Anyway, I still have to wait until September. Right now, focus on working, and don't get stressed out quickly loll.

Another Late Night Thoughts

#507
27th March
(Source: Valencia train station by rabataller, www.flickr.com)

Every time when coming up for a post to update, I had always been thinking a lot.
Thinking this, thinking that, hope could pass my message here as a expressing point.
Being through an unknown illegible and complex thinking messed up my mind, that what should I say?
Well, in fact, I wrote down everything once it comes to my mind.

After applying for the local universities through the UPU system, I back to the same question after finishing the last term of STPM: Applying overseas universities?
It's been a doubtful quest on self-capability to hold on a large step, there are many aspects to be analysed before going on.
As so, I read through a book on how to make confident decisions, and it did really effective, yet there are way too much aspects to consider about: The preparations, dealing random lifelong issues during the studies, constructions of higher level thinking skills, risk analysis, consequences interpretations, money sources, stakeholders and so on.
Numerous or even uncountable ways to figure out on how to choose the right path.

Instead, you might ask: Your results are pretty well done, and for sure you will get the scholarships, no problem to study overseas.
Yes, indeed, my results could make me for the 100% tuition fee waiver, and if my decision took right, I might actually just go for it.
But hold on, rushing isn't my style. Attracted by several rankings, offers, achievements and status, it made me more confusing. Some of them had clear reports on the teaching qualities, internship opportunities and international partnerships for students who wished to study abroad.
All of these, had thrown me into a vortex of selections, but only one is the destination.

Speaking about these, I planned to apply Singapore NTU and Hong Kong's HKUST and City-U, and of course local universities as well.
The thing is, my parents don't agree to my plan to study overseas, and they got a point:
With my results and if my interview is passed, I can get scholarships to study there for the first year, but your results must be consistently excellent (or above the acquired CGPA rate) so that the school could continue offering the scholarships as financial assistance for the second, third and fourth year. Otherwise, you have to pay by myself. That means, they don't want me to study in pressure just to maintain that scholarships, that eventually will make my university life a very tragic moment.

You might say again: Well you could do it though, you had fought the hardships during Form 6, you sure can make it as confident as before.
Honestly, that is what I'm worrying about. In fact, you don't know what are the contingencies that might fall on you suddenly, and there you goes, the nightmare.
I had been questioning myself for a long time that luck had been by my side, all the time, especially peak moment of every important examinations.
Strange ya? But for me, it's quite a miracle. There should be ups and downs, but this happens constantly every peak moment?
I knew I did strive for the best, and I'm always ready for the worst, but the preparation seemed to be unnecessary.
And so, I followed several advice, and I made a decision that might be shocking, yet it had been decided, so there's no way to be doubtful anymore.
My decision read like this:"Go to local universities, and seizing for opportunities to study overseas".

Sounds like what I had done after finishing SPM.
This decision is super strong and had actually "violated" the initial plan, but I mentioned that keywords "seizing the opportunities", means I did not give up the hope to study overseas, at least two months I would be thankful enough.
Luckily as I scrolled through several websites, following teachers' advice, things came to be quite tricky as well when selecting the courses.
That experience, I would talk next time.
Great, what a long post, goodbye ;)

Recap

#506
14th March
(Source: Smiley Face Clock Photography, www.wallpapersonthe.net)

What's up guys? After one-month halt finally I have enough materials to write a blog, or not...

Well, I'm kind of like, if there're really interesting things happen, I will make them all in just one post, as well as other relative updates.
So basically here are some recaps since 14th February.
I think I might forgotten lots of things but for sure, there's one thing, which is unforgettable forever.

28th February.
Well I did not mention anything about this.
THE DAY TO TAKE STPM RESULTS!!!!!!
So, in the end, the story takes to a turn to where I want to, and that's mean...
...I had finally achieved what I want to achieve: CGPA 3.75 and above.
And what I get: CGPA 4.00
Which means: I'm one of the 150++ STPM 4A top students in Malaysia.
Meanwhile: One of the seven STPM 4A top students in CLHS.
And also: One of the four STPM 4A Physics class top students in CLHS.

I made the decision which in turn, making a huge compliments from the school, friends and family, and of course, a high road for my future.
But the aftermath is the main point: where to go to further my study? And what kind of decision should be made?
All of these, I had actually made my choice, but indeed I'm still wondering what is my future plan after university?
That's the problem that I wished to talk about in the next post.

Digression
CLHS Sixth Form Prom Night 2016 was 3 months ago and finally the photos are uploaded and you can click here to look at the album.
